Movie #71 & #72 Exit Through the Gift Shop

I had a busy week last week.  I watched Exit  Through the Gift Shop on the day it was released on Netflix.  I enjoyed it quite a bit.  Last week a friend came by the house and we started talking about what films we had seen recently that were any good.  I told him about Exit and he thought it sounded really interesting.  I decided to put it on just to show him the opening credits.  He became very interested and I fell in love with the movie.

Upon a second viewing I was able to focus more on the story that was being presented and less on the doc part of the film and it's focus on the actual street art (which is still fascinating to me).  This is the perfect movie to watch with someone else.  After the movie my buddy and I talked for over 2 hours about all the different themes brought up in the film.  I had almost as much fun talking about the movie as I did watching it.

The on New Years Eve I mentioned something about the movie to my daughters and we decided to watch it as a way of passing time until the ball dropped.  I think it was a little over their heads, but they both enjoyed the movie.  They thought all the art was "awesome".
